AMII welcomes Aceso
Aceso Health & Group Risk has joined the Association of Medical Insurers and Intermediaries (AMII) after being impressed by the work of the body and its role as the voice of the industry.
Directors and experienced employee benefits specialists, Mike Picken and Louise Pratt are at the helm Aceso, backed by insurance specialist Joe Henderson who sold his eponymous business to US giant Aon in 2017.
The prominent businessman, who was awarded the MBE in 2019, is proud to see some of the proteges following his example, as he provides financial backing and mentorship.
The name Aceso was inspired by Greek mythology and the business offers a fully rounded approach to employee health and wellbeing.
Based in Leeds, Mike and Louise set up Aceso in January 2021 with the aim of ensuring a client centric and customer focused approach to benefits packages which meet various budgets and requirements.
Mike said: “From the beginning we wanted to create a business that truly meets the varied needs of the market. We offer a range of services which consider all aspects of health, including our five main pillars: physical health, mental health, financial health, social and community and occupational health.
“We felt it was important to join AMII with its kudos and good standing in the industry, and we’re especially impressed with its lobbying and work to tackle issues that affect our clients. It really is the voice of the industry and something we wanted very much to be a part of.”
AMII membership benefits include participation at national conferences, technical regulatory compliance support, parliamentary and regulatory lobbying, Preferential Professional Indemnity Insurance cover, online technical advice and professional support, an education events programme and opportunities to network with industry colleagues.
